Detailed Coverage :

Wipro's Commercial & Institutional Business (CIB), a division of Wipro Consumer Care, is implementing a strategic plan to accelerate its year-on-year revenue growth, which currently stands between Rs 1,000-1,500 crore with a 10-15% annual increase. The company aims to achieve growth exceeding 15% annually through new initiatives.

Key among these initiatives is the launch of 'iSense Air,' an IoT-enabled air quality monitoring solution designed to provide real-time insights for commercial establishments. Additionally, CIB has introduced a new range of next-generation lighting and seating products for both indoor and outdoor spaces. These innovations are aimed at creating future-ready workspaces that enhance employee well-being, boost productivity, and promote sustainability.

The company is also stepping up its focus on tier 2 and 3 cities, where demand for its premium products is growing. To better engage with consumers and showcase its offerings, Wipro plans to open more experiential centers across the country. Currently, five such centers are operational in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru, with plans to open more in Kolkata, Delhi, and Coimbatore by March, and potentially Mumbai early next year.

Impact: This strategic push by Wipro's CIB division, focusing on innovative technology like IoT for environmental monitoring and enhanced workspace solutions, alongside geographic expansion, is expected to drive incremental revenue and market share. It demonstrates Wipro's commitment to diversifying its offerings and tapping into new market segments, which could positively influence investor sentiment regarding the company's growth prospects. The expansion into smaller cities taps into emerging demand pockets. Impact Rating: 7/10

Difficult Terms Explained: IoT (Internet of Things): Refers to the network of physical objects ('things') embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies that enable them to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet. Experiential Centers: These are retail or business spaces designed to provide customers with an immersive experience, allowing them to interact with and trial products or services in a hands-on manner.
