WPIL Limited, an Indian company specializing in fluid handling systems, pumps, and pumping systems, has reported a significant contract win through its South African arm. The subsidiary has been awarded a contract worth ₹426 crore by the Matla a Metsi Joint Venture. This project, scheduled for commissioning over the next four years, covers the complete electro mechanical and instrumentation works for Phase 2 of the Mokolo Crocodile Water Augmentation Project, as announced on Monday, November 17.
The Mokolo Crocodile Water Augmentation Project is a crucial initiative designed to meet the growing water demands of the Lephalale municipality and surrounding water stations by redirecting water from the Mokolo dam to the Waterberg region in South Africa. This contract is expected to bolster WPIL's order book and enhance its presence in the international infrastructure sector.
WPIL's stock closed 0.58% higher at ₹387.3 on November 17, prior to this announcement. Earlier this year, WPIL's European subsidiary, Gruppo Aturia, strengthened its capabilities by acquiring MISA SRL, an Italian company focused on large pumping station projects.

This contract significantly strengthens WPIL's revenue visibility for the next four years and underscores its capability in executing large-scale international projects. It enhances the company's reputation in the global fluid handling and infrastructure development market.
