Green Fuel Push

Thermax Limited is building India's first Green Methanol Production Facility in partnership with Ankur Scientific. Located at Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla, Gujarat, the facility will use Ankur Scientific's biomass gasification technology. It aims to produce 18,000 tonnes of methanol annually, meeting the shipping industry's growing demand for cleaner fuels and supporting national goals.

RBI Data Center Upgrade

Dynacons Systems & Solutions won a major order worth ₹750.82 Cr (including GST) for private cloud infrastructure services for the Reserve Bank of India's data centers. This project supports the RBI's new, advanced, and energy-efficient data center in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The cloud system is designed to be scalable for future applications and analytics, potentially including AI.

Agricultural Innovations

Meghmani Organics Ltd's subsidiary, Meghmani Crop Nutrition Ltd, received approval from the Ministry of Agriculture to produce advanced nano fertiliser products. These include Nano DAP, Nano NPK, and Nano Zinc. This move boosts the company's crop nutrition offerings and its efforts to modernize Indian farming.

Infrastructure Projects

Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, secured a ₹373 Cr contract for civil infrastructure work, including tunnelling. EMS Ltd was awarded a ₹143.80 Cr order to build sewer networks and connect houses in Varanasi. Envair Electrodyne Limited received in-principle approval for a ₹136.87 Cr project to manufacture Copper Clad Laminates in Odisha.

Operational Setbacks

However, not all companies reported good news. Asahi India Glass announced a partial failure of an exhaust chimney at its float glass plant in Soniyana, Rajasthan, due to severe weather. The company confirmed no injuries and stated core operations continue while damage is assessed. Standard Surfactants reported a fire incident at its Mandideep unit's Spray Drier Plant. Operations are expected to resume within two to three months after re-installation, and assets are adequately insured.
