Telangana has released a draft Gig and Platform Workers Bill, 2025, aiming to enhance social security and welfare for gig workers in the state. The bill mandates registration for workers and aggregators, establishes a dedicated welfare board and fund, and introduces regulations for automated decision systems used by platforms. This initiative follows similar efforts by Rajasthan and Karnataka.
