State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder for a ₹180.77 crore Northern Railway project involving overhead equipment modification for a 2x25 kV traction system, expected to take 24 months. This comes as RVNL reported a 19.7% year-on-year decline in net profit for the September quarter to ₹230.3 crore, although revenue grew 5.5% to ₹5,123 crore. EBITDA also saw a significant drop.
