Lohia Corp debuted on the stock exchanges with an 8.5% premium, opening at ₹461 compared to its issue price of ₹425. The industrial machinery firm, which specializes in woven raffia equipment, saw a total market capitalization of ₹4,859.90 crore on its first day of trading. Investors are now tracking how the company maintains its export-led growth following the fully offer-for-sale IPO.

Lohia Corp Ltd, a manufacturer of industrial machinery, made a strong debut on Indian stock exchanges today, July 30, 2026. The stock opened at ₹461 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), representing an 8.47% increase over its final issue price of ₹425. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the shares commenced trading at ₹459, marking an 8.24% premium. With this opening, the company reached a market capitalization of ₹4,859.90 crore.

The public offering, which was worth ₹1,102 crore, attracted significant attention during the subscription period. The total issue was subscribed 7.25 times, reflecting interest from various segments. Qualified Institutional Buyers led the demand with a 9.11 times subscription, followed by Non-Institutional Investors at 6.82 times and retail investors at 2.77 times. The company had previously secured ₹492 crore from anchor investors, signaling institutional confidence in its business model before the retail subscription opened.

Understanding the Business and IPO Structure

Lohia Corp occupies a specific niche in the industrial machinery sector, focusing on the production of machinery for the woven raffia industry. The company maintains a strong export franchise, which serves as a core component of its revenue stream. It is important for investors to note that the IPO was an Offer for Sale (OFS), meaning that all 2.59 crore shares offered belonged to existing shareholders. Consequently, the company itself will not receive any of the proceeds from this share sale to fund new capital spending or reduce debt.

Key Monitorables for Shareholders

As the company transitions from a private entity to a publicly traded one, investors may look at several factors beyond the initial listing price. The primary business advantage for the company has been its global market presence in raffia machinery. However, long-term performance will depend on its ability to sustain demand in international markets and manage potential volatility in raw material costs, which typically affect industrial machinery manufacturers. Because the company did not raise fresh capital, its financial health will rely on internal cash flow generation rather than proceeds from this public issue. Investors will likely track future quarterly earnings to evaluate how the company maintains its profit margins and market share in a competitive global sector. The next key updates to watch include the company’s first quarterly financial results as a listed entity and any management commentary regarding export demand and expansion plans.
