KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform (KGSDP) has launched a new office in Kolkata dedicated to its Tax Business Unit. This development is positioned to enhance the city's function as a center for technology-driven global tax services. The new facility is designed to accommodate specialized tax functions and the large-scale provision of professional services to a global clientele. According to company statements, KGSDP's Kolkata operations have grown substantially from an initial team of approximately 50 professionals to over 200, now capable of managing complex tax and compliance requirements for international clients.

India, in general, is becoming a more central location for a larger portion of KPMG's global tax delivery operations, with Kolkata playing a prominent role.
