The government has initiated the first-ever auction of limestone mineral blocks in Jammu & Kashmir. Seven blocks across Anantnag, Rajouri, and Poonch districts, covering about 314 hectares, are up for bidding. This move aims to significantly boost the cement and construction sectors, generate employment, and accelerate economic growth in the region.
