JLL Opens New Hyderabad Hub, Targets 1,600 Hires

JLL has inaugurated a 120,000 sq. ft. Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad, its second in India, with plans to hire 1,600 employees. The hub will focus on AI-driven workflows to support global operations. This move reflects the company's strategy to centralize high-value business functions in India amid ongoing global real estate market pressures.

JLL, the global commercial real estate services firm, has officially opened its second Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India, located in the Financial District of Hyderabad. The facility, spanning 120,000 square feet, is designed to serve as a central hub for the company's worldwide operations. This expansion follows the success of its existing facility in Gurugram, which remains the company’s largest operational base in the country.

The company has announced plans to scale the new Hyderabad centre to 1,600 employees over the next two years. The hiring will span multiple high-value functions, including finance, human resources, property management, and technology support. JLL is positioning this facility as an AI-first operations hub, where staff will use artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and service quality for international clients.

This investment is part of JLL’s broader 'Accelerate 2030' strategy. By consolidating critical business services in India, the company aims to improve its operating margins and efficiency. The move allows JLL to tap into India's specialized talent pool, which helps in managing complex global workflows such as investment modeling, architectural services, and global controllership from a single time zone, effectively providing 24/7 support to its international business.

From a financial perspective, JLL has reported a strong performance recently. In the second quarter of 2026, the company posted a revenue of $6.9 billion, representing an 11% increase in US dollars, with diluted earnings per share growing significantly. However, the company is also navigating a challenging global environment. The commercial real estate sector is currently facing pressure from elevated interest rates and tighter lending conditions, which have slowed down transaction volumes in several key markets. Additionally, global geopolitical tensions continue to create uncertainty, impacting deal activity in various regions.

While the expansion into Hyderabad signals long-term confidence in its service-led growth model, investors should monitor how effectively JLL manages the integration of these operations. The success of this hub will depend on the company's ability to maintain productivity and service standards while deploying new AI technologies. The key monitorable for stakeholders will be whether the efficiency gains from these centers can help offset broader cyclical headwinds currently affecting the global commercial real estate market.
