Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and France's Safran Electronics and Defence have signed a joint venture agreement to produce the advanced HAMMER Smart Precision Guided Air-to-Ground Weapon in India. This 50:50 venture aims to manufacture, supply, and maintain HAMMER missiles locally for the Indian Air Force and Navy, with progressive localization reaching 60%.
