Global Operations Hub Takes Shape in Hyderabad

Heineken NV has established its new Heineken Business Services (HBS) India Centre in Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion of its global operational network. This facility represents the company's first business services hub in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and its fourth worldwide. The strategic placement aims to centralize specialized expertise, streamline standardized systems and processes, and reduce duplication across its international markets.

Core Services and Regional Reach

The Hyderabad centre will provide critical services including finance, procurement, supply chain management, and human resources. It will also spearhead enterprise-wide digital, data, and business process transformation capabilities. From this Indian base, HBS India is set to support Heineken's operations not only across the APAC region but also in selected markets in Africa, West Asia, and Eastern Europe. India, alongside Singapore, will initially serve as pilot markets benefiting from the centre's delivery model.

Ministerial Inauguration and Growth Outlook

The official inauguration ceremony saw the presence of senior leadership from Heineken and United Breweries Ltd (UBL), along with notable dignitaries including the Minister for Industries & Commerce, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications and Legislative Affairs for Telangana, D Sridhar Babu, and the Minister for Prohibition & Excise; Tourism & Culture and Archaeology, Telangana, Jupally Krishna Rao. Spread across a substantial 76,000 square feet, the Hyderabad Centre is a key component of Heineken's global HBS expansion plan, which anticipates growing to approximately 3,000 roles across all its locations by 2030. Vineeth Suresh, Director & India Head of HBS, emphasized the launch as a reflection of Heineken's confidence in India as a strategic partner for its global transformation, highlighting the centre's role in driving consistency, efficiency, and innovation.
