Financial Performance
Gravita India's net profit for the fourth quarter declined 3.4% year-on-year to ₹92 crore. However, this dip was offset by strong financial performance in other areas.
Revenue surged 13.1% year-on-year to ₹1,173 crore, indicating strong market demand for its products.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) also posted significant growth, climbing 22% to ₹113 crore from ₹92 crore a year ago. This operational efficiency boosted the EBITDA margin to 9.6%, an improvement from 8.9% in the prior year period.
The company also announced the closure of its subsidiary, Recycling Infotech LLP.
Strategic Expansion and Acquisition
Gravita India is also pursuing aggressive growth strategies.
The company plans to build a new copper recycling plant in Mandvi, Gujarat, with an investment of ₹160 crore.
The company also finalized its acquisition of 98.95% of Rashtriya Metal Industries Limited (RMIL) for ₹559.08 crore.
