Diamond Power Infra Hits New High After Securing ₹620 Crore Orders

Diamond Power Infrastructure shares hit a record ₹269.35, fueled by recent wins totaling ₹620 crore for power cables and conductors. These orders from major players like Adani Energy Solutions and L&T highlight the company's role in the growing data center and power transmission sectors.

Detailed Coverage

Diamond Power Infrastructure’s stock climbed to an intraday high of ₹269.35 on Tuesday, reflecting a 10% gain in a single session. This move continues a strong run for the stock, which has appreciated significantly over the last six months as the company secures large-scale orders amidst a wider pickup in infrastructure spending across India.

Major Order Wins and Delivery Timelines

The company recently disclosed a contract from Adani Energy Solutions valued at ₹185.16 crore. Under this agreement, Diamond Power will supply over 4,800 km of AL59 Moose and Zebra conductors for power projects in Tuticorin and Pune. These supplies are slated for delivery between July 2026 and February 2027, providing the company with clear revenue visibility for the current and coming financial year.

Adding to this, the company secured a ₹435.71 crore contract on July 5 for the supply of High Tension and Low Tension power cables. These cables are intended for 310 MW data center projects in Hyderabad, a massive infrastructure play being executed by major engineering firms such as Larsen & Toubro, Sterling and Wilson, and Blue Star. The order involves the supply of over 2,100 km of cables, with the delivery schedule running from August 2026 through March 2027.

Strategic Position in Data Center Growth

The power cable order for data centers is being viewed as a significant milestone for the firm. As India’s data center capacity expands to meet the rising demand for digital infrastructure, companies providing critical electrical components stand to benefit from a sustained order pipeline. Diamond Power Infrastructure is positioning itself to capture this growth, targeting high-specification products that are essential for the energy-intensive operations of modern data centers.

Investor Context and Risks

While the current order book suggests strong activity, investors should track the company’s ability to execute these projects on time and within budgeted costs. Large orders require efficient management of working capital and raw material procurement. Any delays in delivery or unexpected increases in the cost of copper and aluminium—key materials for cables—could put pressure on profit margins. Additionally, the company is operating in a competitive industrial segment where margins are often sensitive to scale and raw material price volatility.

Looking ahead, the primary monitorables for stakeholders include the actual pace of project execution, the timely collection of payments from contractors, and whether the company can maintain these order win rates in subsequent quarters. Investors may also watch for any official updates regarding debt levels or capacity expansion plans required to meet this rising demand.
