Delhivery Posts ₹40.6 Crore Profit in Q2, Stock Rises 8%

Delhivery turned profitable in the September quarter, reporting a net profit of ₹40.6 crore compared to a loss in the previous year. Revenue crossed the ₹3,000 crore milestone for the first time, driven by strong parcel volume growth. Shares rose over 8% following the results, though investors should continue to track margin stability and competitive pressures in the logistics sector.

Delhivery Limited has reported a significant financial milestone for the quarter ending September 2026. The logistics company swung to a consolidated net profit of ₹40.6 crore, a major turnaround from the ₹50.5 crore loss it recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Following the announcement of these results, the company’s stock rallied over 8% on November 2, 2026.

Revenue and Volume Growth

The company’s operational revenue reached ₹3,066 crore, a nearly 20% increase from the previous year. This marks the first time Delhivery has surpassed the ₹3,000 crore revenue mark in a single quarter. The growth was primarily driven by its express parcel business, where shipment volumes jumped 32% year-on-year to 325 million units. Additionally, the company’s Part Truck Load (PTL) operations expanded, with volumes rising 14% to reach 545,000 metric tonnes. These volume gains were supported by continued investments in AI and automation, which the company says have improved its operational efficiency and customer resolution processes.

Operational Context and Risks

While the company has reached profitability, the logistics sector remains a highly competitive environment. Management noted that these results were achieved while navigating external challenges, including fluctuating fuel prices and tightness in the labor market. A key factor for investors to monitor is whether the company can maintain these improved profit margins amid potential price competition in the industry. The company also faces execution risks as it attempts to scale new initiatives, such as 'Delhivery Local,' alongside its core services. On the financial front, the company maintains a strong liquidity position with a cash balance of ₹4,676 crore as of the end of the quarter, providing a buffer to support its ongoing expansion and technology investments.

Moving forward, the primary items for investors to track will be the sustainability of volume growth and the company's ability to keep operational costs in check. The market will also look for future updates on how these new technological investments and business initiatives contribute to long-term profitability in a volatile macroeconomic environment.
