India's Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has launched an anti-dumping probe into Polyester Textured Yarn (PTY) imported from China, following applications by major Indian polyester manufacturers like Reliance Industries Ltd. The probe alleges that Chinese PTY is being dumped, causing injury to the domestic industry. However, downstream textile manufacturers fear this could increase input costs and negate recent government relief.
