Netherlands-based promoter Sagility B V has offloaded a significant 16.4% equity stake in Sagility for approximately Rs 3,660 crore. Despite this large sale, Sagility shares rallied over 5%, driven by substantial buying from global and domestic institutional investors, including Unifi Capital, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, and Norges Bank. Additionally, block deals occurred in Rain Industries and Shaily Engineering Plastics, with institutional investors and promoters participating.

Netherlands-based promoter Sagility B V divested a substantial 16.4% equity stake in Sagility, a company providing technology-enabled business solutions to the US healthcare industry. This stake sale, executed via open market transactions on November 14, involved 76.9 crore equity shares valued at Rs 3,660.44 crore. Following the sale, the promoter's holding in Sagility reduced from 67.38% to around 51%.
Interestingly, Sagility shares surged 5.6% to Rs 53.28 on above-average volumes, indicating a strong breakout after recent consolidation. This positive movement was fueled by global and domestic institutional investors who acquired portions of the stake sold by the promoter at the same price. Notable buyers included Unifi Capital and its Unifi Blend Fund 2, which acquired a 4.71% stake for Rs 1,049.65 crore. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Societe Generale, Norges Bank (on behalf of the Government Pension Fund Global), and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore also made significant purchases.
In other market action, Rain Industries saw its shares fall 2.44% to Rs 116.87, extending an eight-session downtrend. First Water Fund bought an additional 26 lakh shares (0.77% stake) for Rs 31.2 crore. Sellers in this deal included Haresh Tikamdas Kaswani and K2 Family Private Trust.
Shaily Engineering Plastics, a maker of precision plastic components, reached a new closing high of Rs 2,622.8, up 0.47%. Promoters Amit Mahendra Sanghvi and Laxman Sanghvi sold 1.5 lakh shares (0.32% stake) for Rs 38.77 crore to buyers including Morgan Stanley IFSC Fund and Motilal Oswal MF.
Fintech company Pine Labs also saw activity on its market debut, surging 13.52%. Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) acquired 14.09 lakh shares for Rs 36.28 crore from UBS AG.
