New Chemicals Plant Operational
Bigbloc Construction Limited has officially started trial production at its new construction chemicals plant in Umargaon, Gujarat. This move, made through its wholly owned subsidiary Bigbloc Building Elements Private Limited, marks the company's entry into the fast-growing construction chemicals market. The plant will produce items like tile adhesives, wall putty, ready mix plaster, block joining mortar, and waterproofing solutions.
Diversification and Synergies
This expansion is a major diversification for Bigbloc Construction, known for its significant capacity in Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) blocks across India. The new chemicals business is set to complement its AAC block operations, aiming for operational synergies and a stronger position in the building materials sector. Bigbloc plans to use innovation and customer focus to drive growth in this new area.
Capacity Expansion and Sustainability
Alongside its chemicals venture, Bigbloc Construction is also growing its core business. The company has acquired land in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to build a new, large-scale AAC block manufacturing plant. This expansion aims to increase overall production capacity and reach more markets. Bigbloc is also noted as one of the few AAC industry players generating carbon credits, highlighting its focus on sustainable production.
