Bharat Electronics Limited Wins New Orders Worth ₹569 Crore
Navratna defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) announced on Thursday that it has secured additional orders valued at ₹569 crore. These fresh contracts were obtained since the company's last disclosure on December 12.

This recent acquisition of ₹569 crore adds significantly to BEL's existing order backlog. Previously, on December 12, BEL had informed the stock exchanges about receiving orders worth ₹776 crore. While the specific customers for these contracts were not disclosed, they included critical indigenous defence systems such as the counter-unmanned aerial system (SAKSHAM), software-defined radios, and anti-drone systems, alongside communication equipment, medical electronics, gun and weapon control systems, avionics, masts, security software, and associated support services.

The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,286 crore for the quarter, marking an impressive 18% increase compared to the same period last year. This figure surpassed analysts' consensus estimates, which were around ₹1,143 crore.
Revenue for the quarter witnessed a substantial year-on-year rise of 26%, reaching ₹5,764 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed by 22% to ₹1,695.6 crore. BEL's EBITDA margins stood robustly at 29.42%, exceeding market expectations of approximately 27.7%.
