ABB India Stock Rises 2.6% After March Quarter Profit Jump

ABB India shares rose 2.6% to ₹7,481 after reporting a net profit of ₹1,783.65 crore for the March 2026 quarter. While quarterly profits improved significantly, investors are evaluating the performance against a slight dip in annual profit for FY25 and the upcoming June quarter results.

ABB India shares gained 2.60% to trade at ₹7,481.00 on Friday as investors reacted to the company’s latest financial disclosures. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,783.65 crore for the quarter ending March 2026, marking a sharp recovery from the ₹432.85 crore profit recorded in the quarter ending December 2025. Revenue for the March quarter was reported at ₹3,184.06 crore, which represents a moderate decline from the ₹3,557.01 crore posted in the previous quarter.

Financial Performance Trends

For the full fiscal year 2025, the company recorded consolidated revenue of ₹13,202.73 crore, showing growth compared to the ₹12,188.31 crore reported in 2024. Despite this top-line growth, consolidated net profit for the fiscal year saw a minor decline to ₹1,668.26 crore from ₹1,871.64 crore in the prior year. Consequently, the earnings per share for FY25 stood at ₹78.73, down from ₹88.32 in FY24. A key highlight for long-term investors remains the company’s strong balance sheet, as it maintains a debt-free status with a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.00. The company generated ₹1,219 crore in cash flow from operating activities during the fiscal year, though net cash flow settled at ₹616 crore after accounting for various financing activities.

Market Position and Upcoming Triggers

As a player in the industrial goods and services sector and a constituent of the Nifty Next 50 index, ABB India operates in a space heavily influenced by capital spending trends in power, automation, and infrastructure. Because the company does not rely on debt, it possesses higher financial flexibility than some capital-intensive peers that may face interest rate pressure. However, investors often track the company's order book execution and its ability to maintain profit margins amid fluctuating raw material costs in the industrial sector. The company is set to release its un-audited financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, today. The performance in this upcoming quarter, particularly concerning revenue growth and margin sustainability, will be the next major monitorable for the market.
