Lord’s Mark Industries Gets US FDA Nod for 200 Products

Lord’s Mark Industries has secured US FDA registration for over 200 medical and hygiene products, with exports scheduled to begin in December 2026. This expansion, supported by a production capacity increase in Silvassa, marks a major entry for the company into highly regulated global markets.

Lord’s Mark Industries has received official registration from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for more than 200 surgical, medical-care, and hygiene products. This regulatory milestone allows the company to enter the highly competitive United States medical device market, with exports planned to commence in December 2026. This move is a strategic step for the company to transition from a domestic-focused manufacturer to an international supplier.

To support this shift in business strategy, the company has completed an expansion of its manufacturing facility in Silvassa. This upgrade was designed to increase production volumes to meet the quality and quantity requirements expected in global supply chains. The current product range approved for the US market includes various orthopedic supports, rehabilitation aids, mobility solutions such as wheelchairs and walkers, as well as hygiene essentials like disinfectant wipes and bandages.

While this approval opens a significant new revenue stream, maintaining a presence in the US medical device market carries inherent risks. The US regulatory environment is rigorous, and the company will need to maintain consistent compliance with FDA standards to avoid potential recalls or import restrictions. Additionally, the medical device sector in the United States is dominated by established global players, meaning the company will face intense competition on both price and product quality. Success will depend on the firm's ability to efficiently manage global logistics and effectively market its products against entrenched competitors.

Looking ahead, the company has signaled its intent to explore further geographic expansion, specifically evaluating opportunities in South American markets. However, entry into new regions will depend on meeting specific local regulatory standards, which can vary significantly by country. For now, the focus remains on the December 2026 export launch. Key monitorables for the business include the initial volume of orders secured from US distributors, the company’s ability to maintain manufacturing efficiency at the new Silvassa capacity, and its track record in passing future regulatory audits.
