Services rendered up to October 12, 2025, will be billed at the old rates, while new rates apply from October 13th onwards. Hospitals are directed to ensure transparency by taking geotagged photographs and obtaining patient feedback, including details on any extra charges. A mandatory Grievance Redressal Desk is to be established in all empanelled hospitals, with strict action planned against misuse of the CGHS card by beneficiaries or hospitals. This move was prompted by demands from employee unions facing difficulties with cashless treatment.
