Aurobindo Pharma Q2 Profit Jumps 32% to Record ₹10,263 Cr

Aurobindo Pharma posted a record quarterly revenue of ₹10,263 crore, up 24% year-on-year for Q2 FY27. Net profit rose 32.5% to ₹1,124 crore, supported by strong growth in US and European markets. The board also declared an interim dividend of ₹7 per share as investors track the company's regulatory approvals and margin stability.

Aurobindo Pharma has delivered its strongest quarterly revenue performance to date, with income reaching ₹10,263 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. This marks a 24% year-on-year increase compared to the same period last year. The company’s consolidated net profit also saw a significant boost, climbing 32.5% to reach ₹1,124 crore.

Growth Drivers in Key Markets

The company’s performance was primarily led by robust demand in its two largest international markets. Revenue from the United States grew by 25.2% to ₹4,555 crore, while European operations contributed ₹3,161 crore, representing a 27.5% increase. These gains were supported by regulatory progress, as the company secured 12 final approvals from the USFDA and successfully launched 10 new products in the US market during the quarter.

Operational Efficiency and Dividends

Operational efficiency also improved, with EBITDA margins rising by 75 basis points to 21.0%. This margin expansion suggests the company is effectively managing production and logistics costs despite the competitive nature of the global pharmaceutical industry. Alongside the financial results, the board has declared an interim dividend of ₹7 per share.

Investor Context and Risks

While the financial performance shows strong momentum, investors typically monitor several external factors for pharmaceutical companies with this level of international exposure. The company operates in highly competitive markets where drug pricing pressure can impact profitability. Furthermore, reliance on consistent regulatory approvals, such as those from the USFDA, remains a critical factor for maintaining future growth. Investors may continue to track whether the company can maintain these margin levels and successfully execute its product launch pipeline amid potential currency fluctuations and global pricing volatility.
