Apollo Hospitals Shares Rise to ₹9,050 After Profit Growth

Apollo Hospitals shares rose 2.61% as the company reported a net profit of ₹1,957.80 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2026. This performance reflects strong expansion in its healthcare services, while investors monitor the company's dividend payout and capital spending levels.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprises saw its share price increase by 2.61% to trade at ₹9,050.00 on Tuesday. This movement follows the release of annual financial figures that highlight consistent revenue and profit growth for the healthcare major. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the company recorded a consolidated revenue of ₹25,228.50 crore, marking a steady rise from the ₹14,662.60 crore reported in fiscal year 2022. During the same four-year period, net profit also increased, reaching ₹1,957.80 crore from ₹1,101.10 crore.

The growth trend is also visible in recent quarterly results. For the quarter ending March 2026, the company reported a consolidated revenue of ₹6,605.50 crore, compared to ₹5,592.20 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Net profit for this period reached ₹541.20 crore, up from ₹404.00 crore in the March 2025 quarter. This performance led to an improvement in Earnings Per Share, which rose to ₹36.82.

Operational Health and Capital Returns

The company’s balance sheet shows a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.60 as of March 2026. This level of debt is often monitored by investors to assess how much the company relies on borrowing to fund its hospital chain expansion and digital health initiatives. With a reported Return on Equity of 20.48%, the company has demonstrated an ability to generate returns on the capital invested by shareholders. The board has declared a final dividend of ₹10.00 per share, supplementing the earlier interim dividend of ₹10.00 per share paid in February.

Apollo Hospitals continues to face pressure from rising operational costs typical of the healthcare sector, including investments in medical technology and human capital. Furthermore, while the company has expanded its footprint, the pace of future growth remains linked to its ability to maintain high occupancy levels in its hospital beds and the successful scale-up of its pharmacy and digital health platforms. Investors should track the upcoming annual report and the shareholders' meeting scheduled for August 25, 2026, for further details on management's strategy for capital spending and long-term expansion plans.
