Overview

Tata Power Company Ltd. has inked commercial pacts with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd. (DGPC) for the 1,125 MW Dorjilung hydropower project. Tata Power will invest ₹1,572 crore, holding a 40% stake in the Special Purpose Vehicle. Scheduled for commissioning in September 2031, this World Bank-supported project will supply 80% of its generated power to India, aiming to bolster national energy security.
