Kshema Power has secured a contract to develop transmission infrastructure for a 315 MW wind power project in Karnataka. The scope includes constructing 33 km of 220 kV transmission lines and associated substations. This project highlights the growing demand for specialized engineering partners in India's renewable energy infrastructure sector.

Kshema Power and Infrastructure Company Private Limited, an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, has secured a new contract for a 315 MW wind energy project in Karnataka. The project involves the development of essential power infrastructure, including the supply of materials, civil engineering, and the commissioning of approximately 33 kilometers of 220 kV single-circuit transmission lines. Additionally, the company will be responsible for building associated unit substations and 33 kV transmission infrastructure.

This contract is part of the ongoing infrastructure support required for renewable energy projects, where power generated from wind farms must be efficiently transmitted to the national grid. Kshema Power’s role covers the entire lifecycle of the transmission infrastructure, from high-voltage work to electrical balance of plant and final commissioning.

The renewable energy sector in India requires extensive infrastructure to manage the output from large-scale wind and solar projects. EPC companies like Kshema Power are essential to this process, as they handle the technical complexities of connecting generation sites to consumption points. According to the company, it has executed over 5.2 GW of renewable energy infrastructure projects to date, including 4,500 MW of wind EPC work and the construction of over 2,000 kilometers of transmission lines.
