Jyoti Structures Secures Rs 690 Cr Order from Gujarat Power

Jyoti Structures has won a Rs 690-crore order from the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation to build a 765kV power line. The project will be completed over 42 months. This win is a notable development for the company as it continues its effort to rebuild operations following its past financial restructuring.

Jyoti Structures has officially secured a transmission project order valued at Rs 689.93 crore from the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation. The contract involves the design, supply of materials, construction, testing, and commissioning of a 765kV double-circuit transmission line that will connect Pachchham to Saykha. The company has a 42-month timeline to complete this work from the date of the award.

For shareholders, this order is an important signal of the company's ongoing business recovery. Jyoti Structures previously underwent a major financial restructuring process after facing severe debt issues several years ago. Since emerging from that phase, the company has been focused on winning new contracts to rebuild its order book and stabilize its financial footing. This project adds a significant volume to its current backlog, which is essential for generating future revenue.

The stock market reacted positively to the announcement, with the share price rising about 6 percent to Rs 8.56 on the exchange. Despite this immediate gain, the stock has faced downward pressure over the past year and is currently trading well below its 52-week high of Rs 14.41. The company's total market value currently stands at approximately Rs 1,017 crore.

Investors should keep in mind that winning a large contract is only the first step. Because this project is scheduled to run over 42 months, the company faces the risk of cost increases for raw materials or labor. Maintaining healthy profit margins throughout such a long execution period will be a key factor for the company's financial health. Future investor attention will likely focus on whether the company can execute this project on time without facing delays and if it can secure further orders to sustain its growth momentum.
