Overview

India's Ministry of Coal has successfully auctioned three fully explored coal blocks from the 13th round, securing an estimated ₹4,620.69 crores in annual revenue and attracting nearly ₹7,350 crores in capital investment. These blocks, holding over 3,300 million tonnes of reserves, are expected to create more than 66,000 jobs. While the Takua block received no bids, Pirpainti Barahat and Dhulia North in Jharkhand, and Mandakini-B in Odisha, were successfully allocated, marking significant progress in India's commercial coal mining initiative.
