CleanMax Energy Q1 Profit Hits ₹55 Crore as Revenue Doubles

CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions turned profitable with ₹55 crore net profit in the June quarter, compared to a loss of ₹17 crore last year. Revenue grew 107% to ₹832 crore, supported by a larger base of renewable energy assets. The company now plans to raise ₹2,500 crore via debentures to fund further capacity expansion.

CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions has reported a major financial turnaround, swinging to a net profit of ₹55 crore for the quarter ended June 2026. This performance marks a significant shift from the ₹17 crore loss the company reported during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The company’s financial growth was largely driven by a sharp increase in its operational scale.

Revenue Growth and Operational Scale

The company’s revenue from operations reached ₹832 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, representing a 107% jump compared to the ₹402 crore reported in the same quarter last year. This revenue spike is primarily linked to the growth of its Renewable Energy (RE) Services segment and an increase in the number of operational energy assets. As of June 30, 2026, the company’s total contracted capacity reached 6.8 GW.

Expansion Plans and Funding

To continue its growth trajectory, CleanMax has announced plans to raise up to ₹2,500 crore through the issuance of listed, rated, non-convertible debentures. This capital is intended to support the company’s ongoing efforts to scale its infrastructure. Management has indicated that the company added over 500 MW of new capacity in the first quarter alone and remains committed to its goal of adding at least 1,500 MW of new capacity by the end of the current fiscal year.

Investor Context and Risks

While the shift to profitability is a notable event, investors often monitor the long-term impact of heavy capital spending on debt levels. The decision to raise ₹2,500 crore through debt instruments increases the company's borrowing, which investors may watch closely in future quarters to assess how it affects interest costs and overall margins. Furthermore, the renewable energy sector in India is highly competitive and sensitive to regulatory policy changes, power purchase agreement terms, and the timely execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. Successfully commissioning the planned 1,500 MW of new capacity within the projected timeline will be a critical factor for the company’s future revenue and profit stability. Investors may track the company’s upcoming quarterly results for updates on debt repayment progress and the actual utilization of the new capacity.
