Rooftop solar solutions provider Arkahub has secured $2 million in seed funding to propel its home energy platform forward. Kae Capital led the round, joined by Sparrow Capital and Antler.
Funding for Growth
The capital infusion is earmarked for enhancing Arkahub's execution capabilities. This includes bolstering product engineering, streamlining installation and service operations, fortifying supply chain and vendor partnerships, and launching new physical experience stores. The investment signals strong backing for the startup's expansion plans in the burgeoning renewable energy market.
Tapping the Residential Solar Gap
Arkahub, founded in 2025 by former Myntra CXO Manish Pansari and ex-Wakefit executive Kaustabh Chakraborty, specializes in premium solar products for homes. The company's typical residential solar system ranges from INR 2-5 Lakh, with installation completed within 2-4 weeks. Arkahub aims to simplify the complex process of adopting rooftop solar, a segment that has lagged behind commercial installations despite government support.
India's solar capacity now stands at 129 GW, with non-fossil fuels comprising over half of the nation's total installed power capacity. However, widespread residential solar adoption faces hurdles including intricate installation, ongoing maintenance, and a scarcity of reliable long-term support. Arkahub's 'Home Energy OS' seeks to bridge this gap, enabling households to generate, store, and manage their power with greater ease.
Pansari likened the company's approach to a "consumer durable revolution for home energy." He emphasized that Arkahub offers a standardized, reliable energy appliance designed to secure a household's future power needs for up to 25 years. This strategic move positions Arkahub to capture a significant share of the domestic solar market.
The development occurs as other cleantech startups, such as GreenTech, Roadgrid, and RenewCred, also successfully raise capital this year, highlighting investor interest in the sector. Arkahub's success in securing seed funding underscores the growing potential for innovative solutions in India's renewable energy landscape.
