Adani Group plans a massive Rs 63,000 crore investment in Assam, comprising two major projects. Adani Power Limited (APL) will invest Rs 48,000 crore to build a 3,200 MW greenfield ultra super critical power plant. This project will operate under a Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model and has secured coal linkage. It is expected to create 20,000-25,000 jobs during construction and 3,500 permanent jobs, with commissioning starting December 2030.

Concurrently, Adani Green Energy (AGEL), India's largest renewable energy company, will invest Rs 15,000 crore to set up two Pumped Storage Plants (PSP) with a combined capacity of 2,700 MW. AGEL has already received a Letter of Allotment for 500 MW of energy storage capacity from these plants.
