Phased Commissioning in Surendranagar
ACME Solar Holdings Limited has begun generating power from 68 MW of its 100 MW wind project located in Surendranagar, Gujarat. This significant capacity addition is being rolled out in stages through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd. The project's operational capacity now stands at 68 MW as the final phase nears completion.
Long-Term Power Offtake and Financing
The electricity produced will be supplied under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) inked between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), ensuring a stable revenue stream. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has provided the necessary financing for this wind energy venture, signaling continued institutional backing for renewable infrastructure.
ACME Solar's Growing Portfolio
This development adds to ACME Solar's already substantial operational capacity, which totals 2,958 MW. The company also has an additional 4,562 MW under construction, including 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS). This expansion highlights ACME Solar's commitment to integrated renewable energy solutions, spanning solar, wind, and storage technologies, contributing to India's ambitious energy transition goals.
