Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for nationwide reforms focused on achieving 'product perfection' to elevate Indian brands globally and help India become a developed nation by 2047. Speaking ahead of the CII Partnership Summit, Naidu revealed that the state government is set to sign 410 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at ₹9.8 lakh crore. Additionally, foundation stones will be laid for projects worth ₹2.7 lakh crore, which are expected to generate 2.5 lakh jobs. He highlighted significant past investments attracted by the state in the last 16 months, totaling close to ₹6 lakh crore from major entities like ArcelorMittal, Google, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and NTPC.
Naidu emphasized a future-oriented approach, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, quantum computing, and satellite manufacturing. The state government aims to build Andhra Pradesh into a major hub for these advanced technologies, alongside establishing a space city, drone city, and aerospace city. The Chief Minister also detailed plans to develop Andhra Pradesh into a leading logistics hub, leveraging its 1,000 km coastline with proposed ports every 50 km, improved airport connectivity, and railway expansions. The state also targets 50,000 new hotel rooms by 2029 to boost tourism.
