Titan Shares Hit 52-Week High; Brokerage Sets ₹6,000 Target

Titan Company shares reached a 52-week high of ₹5,121.30 on August 10, 2026, following a 'BUY' recommendation from Motilal Oswal with a ₹6,000 target. The brokerage highlighted strong Q1 FY27 financial results, where consolidated profit grew 63% to ₹1,777 crore. Investors are noting the strong jewelry demand alongside a one-time customs duty gain that boosted recent margins.

Titan Company shares hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹5,121.30 on Monday, as market confidence remained high following a positive outlook from Motilal Oswal. The brokerage firm has started its coverage on the company with a 'BUY' rating and a price target of ₹6,000, which is based on an estimated earnings per share for September 2028.

The optimism is supported by a strong performance in the first quarter of FY27. Titan reported a 63% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹1,777 crore compared to the same period last year. A key driver for this growth was the jewelry segment, which saw revenues rise by roughly 43% year-on-year.

However, investors should consider the full picture behind these numbers. The Q1 results included a one-time customs duty benefit of approximately ₹407 crore. This gain provided a temporary lift to the reported margins and profit figures. Because this is a one-time event, it will not be repeated in future quarters.

Demand for jewelry also showed interesting trends during the quarter. After a dip in May caused by factors such as fluctuating gold prices and the postponement of wedding-related purchases, the company saw a recovery in June. This momentum reportedly carried into July, suggesting that consumer demand remains resilient despite price fluctuations.

While the long-term outlook appears positive, there are risks to monitor. Gold price volatility remains a significant factor that can impact jewelry margins and consumer buying patterns. Additionally, because the stock trades at a high valuation, any future slowdown in consumer spending or failure to meet growth expectations could influence the stock's performance. The company’s ability to deliver consistent earnings growth to justify its premium valuation, while managing regulatory changes in the gold sector, will be a key monitorable for the coming quarters.
