Titan Shares Hit 52-Week High After Strong Q1; Target Set at Rs 5408

Titan Company shares reached a new 52-week high of Rs 5,121 after reporting a 63% jump in quarterly profit to Rs 1,777 crore. Following these results, Prabhudas Lilladher updated its target price to Rs 5,408. Investors are balancing this strong growth against risks like high market valuations and gold price volatility.

Titan Company shares climbed to a 52-week high of Rs 5,121.30 on August 10, 2026, driven by a positive market reaction to the company’s first-quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2027. Brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher has updated its outlook, maintaining a positive stance on the stock and setting a target price of Rs 5,408.

Quarterly Financial Performance

The company’s latest quarterly performance highlighted robust growth, with a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,777 crore, marking a 63% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue from operations also rose significantly, reaching Rs 21,356 crore. A notable contributor to these figures was a gain of Rs 407 crore resulting from recent changes in customs duties on gold imports. The jewellery division, which accounts for approximately 90% of Titan's total sales, remained the primary growth driver, helping the company navigate challenges such as the 'Adhik maas' period and fluctuating consumer sentiment.

Valuation and Growth Outlook

Prabhudas Lilladher's updated target price is based on a 'Sum of the Parts' valuation, which assesses different business units separately. This model includes the value of Titan's jewellery business along with its subsidiaries, Caratlane and the TEAL division (which handles machine automation and aerospace projects). The brokerage anticipates a strong compound annual growth rate of 25.6% for earnings per share through 2028. Analysts are optimistic that despite recent sharp increases in the stock price, the brand’s ability to gain market share in the organised jewellery sector remains a key strength.

Risks for Investors to Monitor

While the outlook remains positive, investors should be aware of several factors that could influence future performance. The stock currently trades at a premium valuation, with price-to-earnings ratios in the range of 75 to 78 times. This high valuation means the market has priced in significant future growth, leaving little room for error. Additionally, the company’s results are sensitive to volatility in gold prices, which can affect customer demand. Any significant shift in regulatory policies regarding gems and jewellery, or intense competitive pressure in the organised retail space, could also impact margins.

Looking ahead, the next key monitorables for shareholders will be the stability of gold prices and whether the jewellery segment can sustain its operating margins of around 11% in the coming quarters. Investors will also watch for updates on the execution of the TEAL order book and the contribution of new business segments to overall revenue.
