Symphony Ltd's consolidated revenue rose 31% to ₹275 crore, helped by strong performance in Mexico and Australia. However, domestic growth remained modest, with tight profit margins due to exchange losses and lower treasury income. The company is now entering the residential air conditioner, fan, and air purifier markets to reduce its reliance on summer-only products.
Symphony Ltd reported a 31% increase in consolidated revenue for the September 2026 quarter, reaching ₹275 crore compared to ₹210 crore in the same period last year. This growth was largely driven by the company's international operations, which offset a slower performance in the Indian domestic market.
The international subsidiaries performed well, led by IMPCO Mexico, which saw a 131% jump in revenue. CTPL Australia also contributed to the growth with a 54% revenue increase. In contrast, the company's business in China faced challenges, with revenue falling by 29% during the same period.
While consolidated figures were strong, the domestic business in India showed more modest results. Standalone revenue grew 9% to ₹170 crore, while profit after tax increased by only 1% to ₹29 crore. Domestic profitability was pressured by a ₹4 crore foreign exchange loss and a ₹3 crore decline in treasury income. Despite these constraints, the company holds a stable financial position with a standalone treasury balance of ₹468 crore as of September 30, 2026.
To address its heavy dependence on the summer season, which accounts for a large portion of its existing revenue, the company is diversifying its portfolio. Symphony plans to enter the residential inverter air conditioner, ceiling fan, and air purifier markets in the upcoming December quarter. It will launch these products under the Silenzair brand. The company has identified a large opportunity in these sectors, estimating the total market size to be over ₹60,000 crore.
Investors will be monitoring how effectively the company can use its existing distribution network to scale these new products. While this diversification strategy aims to create more consistent revenue throughout the year, the success of this move will depend on the company's ability to compete in these established categories without hurting its profit margins. The progress of this product launch and the impact on cash flow will be key points to follow in the coming quarters.
