Swiggy has announced the expansion of its exclusive travel and lifestyle concierge service, Crew, to more cities across India, following a successful pilot phase. The service is now available in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and the National Capital Region (NCR). Senior executives from Swiggy highlighted through LinkedIn posts that users are increasingly leveraging Crew for a wide range of needs, from managing daily errands to planning premium life experiences.
Services offered by Crew include making restaurant reservations, planning travel itineraries, organizing birthday parties, selecting gifts, assisting with Aadhaar updates, and arranging airport transfers. Swiggy's Co-founder, Phani Kishan Addepalli, described Crew as the company's most ambitious initiative yet, aiming to transform Swiggy into an 'operating system for modern living'. He noted that early users have utilized the service for booking getaways, securing exclusive hotel rates, finding gifts, arranging repairs, and organizing child-friendly transfers for international travel. Addepalli further explained that Crew functions as a personal assistant capable of handling tasks like planning celebrations, booking popular restaurants, or sorting out travel logistics. The app, which was developed 'quietly' and 'launched thoughtfully', is already serving a few thousand customers.
