Senco Gold reported a 31% year-on-year revenue increase in Q2 FY27, crossing the ₹5,000 crore sales milestone for the first half of the year. Strong festive and wedding demand, alongside a 19% rise in same-store sales, drove this growth. Investors may track whether the company can maintain profitability amid high gold prices and competitive pricing in the coming quarters.
Senco Gold maintained a strong growth pace in the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, reporting a 31% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year. This growth helped the company achieve a significant milestone, surpassing ₹5,000 crore in sales for the first half of the fiscal year. On a trailing 12-month basis, the jeweler’s sales have now crossed the ₹10,000 crore mark.
The performance was largely supported by healthy festive and wedding season demand, with same-store sales growing by 19%. This indicates that existing locations are successfully attracting more business, even as gold prices remained roughly 28% higher than the previous year. Strategic shifts in product offerings also contributed to these results. The company saw a 31% revenue rise in its diamond segment, with volume growth of 7%. The stud ratio—which measures the value of diamonds relative to gold—improved to 12.2%, showing a shift toward higher-value products.
To keep jewelry affordable for customers during a period of high metal prices, Senco has focused on lightweight collections and 9K gold jewelry. Additionally, old gold exchange programs now represent over 50% of transactions, which has been a key strategy to help maintain customer conversion despite the inflationary environment for gold.
The company’s retail network expanded to 215 showrooms after adding six new locations during the quarter. Management plans to continue this expansion, with 10 to 12 more stores expected in the second half of the fiscal year. The digital channel has also become a meaningful contributor, with e-commerce and digital sales jumping 53% annually.
Despite the positive revenue numbers, the business faces clear challenges. High gold prices and a competitive market environment continue to put pressure on profit margins. For investors, the key monitorable is how the company manages these costs while balancing its aggressive store expansion plans. Furthermore, as the company adds more retail points, the risk of execution delays or cost increases in setting up these new showrooms remains a factor to watch. With the wedding season continuing into the next quarter, demand sentiment will be a critical driver for the company's ability to maintain this growth trajectory.
