Royal Orchid Hotels Launches Crestoria to Tap Luxury Market

Royal Orchid Hotels is introducing its new boutique luxury brand, Crestoria, to capture growth in the wedding and wellness tourism sectors. The company plans to add over 3,500 rooms through an asset-light model. Investors will monitor the execution of this large development pipeline and the company's ability to maintain brand standards across new properties.

Royal Orchid Hotels has expanded its brand portfolio by launching 'Crestoria', a new boutique luxury brand. This strategic move is aimed at capturing the rising demand for premium experiences in India, specifically within the wedding and wellness tourism segments. The new brand will focus on boutique properties featuring between 50 and 150 rooms.

The company is adopting an asset-light strategy for this expansion. In this model, Royal Orchid manages or franchises properties rather than owning the real estate, which allows for faster growth with lower capital pressure. The firm estimates that the capital spending required for these developments ranges between ₹75 lakh and ₹1.5 crore per room.

Royal Orchid Hotels is currently managing a significant development pipeline, which includes over 50 hotels and more than 3,500 rooms in various stages of construction. According to the company, roughly 51% of these projects are near completion, and management expects to launch half of this pipeline within the current financial year. This addition complements their existing brand architecture, which includes the mid-scale Regenta line and the upscale ICONIQA brand, allowing the company to serve a diverse mix of business and leisure travelers.

This growth plan follows a positive start to the year. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, Royal Orchid reported a consolidated revenue of ₹107.21 crore, marking a 36.1% increase compared to the same period last year. By diversifying into the luxury boutique segment, the company aims to reduce its reliance on standard business travel, which can be subject to seasonal changes.

While the asset-light model is designed to support expansion, investors may monitor how the company maintains service quality across a rapidly increasing number of locations. The hospitality sector remains competitive, and success will depend on the timely execution of the project pipeline and the ability to attract sufficient demand for the new luxury properties. Future updates from the company regarding the commissioning of these sites and the impact on overall operating margins will be important factors for stakeholders to track.
