Polycab India Shares Rise 2% Following Strong Q1 Results

Polycab India shares traded 2.05% higher at Rs 9,078 on Friday after reporting a significant increase in June quarter revenue to Rs 8,209.73 crore. The company’s consistent growth in net profit and robust operational cash flow, which reached Rs 3,810 crore in March 2026, continue to influence investor sentiment.

Polycab India saw its stock price climb 2.05% during Friday's trading session, reaching Rs 9,078.00. This gain comes as the company continues to feature prominently among the top performers on the Nifty Midcap 150 index. The stock's recent movement follows the company's financial performance report for the quarter ending June 2026, which showed revenue rising to Rs 8,209.73 crore from Rs 5,905.98 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

Financial Growth and Profitability Trends

The company has demonstrated a consistent upward trajectory in its financial results over recent years. Net profit for the June 2026 quarter reached Rs 796.65 crore, up from Rs 599.70 crore in the year-ago period. Looking at the longer-term performance, annual consolidated revenue has shown significant growth, rising from Rs 12,203.76 crore in 2022 to a projected Rs 28,883.79 crore for 2026. Over the same four-year window, net profit has climbed from Rs 847.79 crore to Rs 2,708.43 crore, reflecting the company’s ability to scale its core business in the cables and wires sector.

Operational Efficiency and Cash Position

A critical factor for investors evaluating Polycab India is the health of its cash flow. Cash generated from operating activities has surged from Rs 511 crore in March 2022 to Rs 3,810 crore by March 2026. This trend suggests that the company is effectively converting its increased revenue into actual cash, providing it with more flexibility for future capital requirements or shareholder distributions. The expansion of the company’s asset base, which grew to Rs 20,476 crore from Rs 7,411 crore over the same period, highlights the scale of recent investments in its manufacturing and distribution infrastructure.

Shareholder Returns and Monitorables

Beyond operational performance, Polycab India has maintained a track record of rewarding its shareholders. The company declared a final dividend of Rs 47.00 per share for the fiscal year ending March 2026, an increase from the Rs 35.00 per share distributed in the prior year. While the company's financial trajectory has been positive, investors often monitor risks associated with the raw material prices of copper and aluminum, which are central to cable manufacturing and can impact profit margins. Additionally, tracking the company's ability to maintain these growth rates amid fluctuating demand in the infrastructure and real estate sectors remains a key point of interest. Future updates regarding the commissioning of new capacities and any changes in input costs will be essential for assessing whether the company can sustain its current margin profile.
