PNGS Reva Dussehra Sales Rise 62% to ₹12.19 Crore

PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery recorded a 62.4% year-on-year jump in Dussehra sales, reaching ₹12.19 crore. Building on this festive momentum, the firm is opening a new store in Jaipur as part of a strategic shift to a company-owned retail model, moving away from its traditional shop-in-shop format.

PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery has reported a sharp increase in sales during the recent festive period, signaling strong consumer interest in its product range. For the Dussehra period in the current fiscal year, the company’s sales, excluding gold, reached ₹12.19 crore, which is a 62.4% increase from the ₹7.50 crore recorded during the same period last year. For the broader Navratri and Dussehra season, the company posted total sales of ₹38.53 crore, representing a 35% year-on-year growth. This performance reflects the brand's ability to capture festive spending, which remains a vital revenue driver for jewellery retailers in the country.

Strategic Shift to COCO Model

The company is now scaling its retail strategy to sustain this growth, launching a new company-owned and company-operated (COCO) store in Jaipur. This initiative marks a strategic pivot for the firm, which has historically relied on a shop-in-shop format. A shop-in-shop approach is typically asset-light, involving smaller retail units placed within existing larger retail environments, requiring less capital outlay.

By transitioning to the COCO model, the company aims to gain greater control over the end-to-end customer experience, brand identity, and inventory management. While this model can improve brand visibility and potential revenue per store, it requires significantly higher capital spending on real estate, interiors, and operational costs. For any retail business, moving from an asset-light strategy to a more capital-intensive one often requires careful monitoring, as higher operational costs can put temporary pressure on profit margins and cash flow.

Competitive Landscape and Execution

The Indian jewellery market is highly competitive, with large national players like Titan Company, through its Tanishq brand, and Kalyan Jewellers holding significant market share. These major incumbents have successfully scaled their operations using a mix of company-owned and franchise networks. As PNGS Reva expands its footprint beyond its stronghold in Western India, its success will depend on its ability to effectively scale its operations in new geographies like Jaipur while maintaining cost efficiency.

Investors and stakeholders will be watching how the company manages the increased cost structure associated with its new independent retail outlets. The key monitorable for the business going forward will be the successful execution of this retail expansion, the ability of the new stores to contribute to overall revenue growth, and whether the company can sustain its profit margins while absorbing the higher expenses of the COCO model.
