PC Jeweller reported a 58% rise in Q2 net profit to ₹330.66 crore on a 28% revenue increase. The company has officially cleared all outstanding dues to its 14-bank consortium, achieving debt-free status. Investors are now tracking the company's plans to open 100 new showrooms and expand into the lab-grown diamond segment to sustain this turnaround.
PC Jeweller has posted a strong financial performance for the second quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year. The company reported a net profit of ₹330.66 crore, marking a 58% increase compared to the ₹209.54 crore profit recorded in the same quarter last year. Total income grew by 28% to ₹1,054.47 crore, up from ₹825.25 crore in the previous year. This growth occurred even as operational expenses rose to ₹759.42 crore during the period.
A significant milestone for the company is its transition to becoming debt-free. Management confirmed that it has fully repaid all outstanding dues to its 14-member bank consortium ahead of schedule. For shareholders, this is a major change, as the company had previously faced years of financial strain due to high debt and asset quality issues that impacted its operations and market position. By eliminating interest costs, the company aims to improve its profitability in the coming quarters.
Alongside debt repayment, the company successfully collected ₹142 crore from long-pending export receivables, which helped strengthen its cash flow. Following this financial recovery, the company has announced a growth plan that includes opening 100 new large-format showrooms over the next 12 to 18 months. To manage this expansion without overextending its finances, the company is adopting an asset-light model that combines its own stores with a franchise network. These showrooms are expected to cover Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III cities to capture wider demand.
The company is also looking to tap into newer consumer trends by developing a dedicated brand for demi-fine, lightweight, and lab-grown diamond jewellery. This strategy is aimed at attracting younger, self-purchasing customers who prefer modern and accessible jewellery designs over traditional high-value pieces.
Looking ahead, the focus for investors will be on how effectively the company can execute this store expansion while managing the competitive landscape in the retail jewellery sector. The ability to maintain profit margins while scaling up with new product categories and franchise partnerships will be a key monitorable in the coming financial results.
