Marico Sets ₹15,000 Crore FY27 Revenue Goal After Q1 Surge

FMCG major Marico aims for ₹15,000 crore in revenue by fiscal 2027, buoyed by a strong Q1 FY27 performance where revenue jumped 23% to ₹3,957 crore. With domestic volume growth reaching an 11% high, the company is doubling down on premium brands and digital diversification, though it remains cautious regarding commodity price volatility.

Marico Ltd. has laid out a clear roadmap to hit ₹15,000 crore in revenue by the end of the 2027 financial year. This growth target follows a solid performance in the first quarter of FY27, where the company reported consolidated revenue of ₹3,957 crore, marking a 23% increase compared to the same period last year.

Management has credited this performance to a strong uptick in demand, with domestic volume growth reaching 11%—the highest level seen in 20 quarters. This growth has been largely supported by the company’s push into premium categories and digital-first brands, which are becoming a larger piece of the overall business. In the latest quarter, net profit rose by 25% to ₹630 crore, while EBITDA margins expanded by 40 basis points year-on-year to 20.7%, reflecting a successful balance between growing the top line and managing costs.

Strategic Focus on Premium and Digital

The strategy to reach the ₹15,000 crore milestone centers on three main levers: premiumization, diversification, and digital-first growth. Marico is actively expanding its footprint in the food category and scaling its digital brands, which are expected to contribute significantly to long-term profitability. By moving toward higher-value products, the company aims to reduce its reliance on traditional categories and capture a larger share of urban consumption. Internationally, the company continues to apply a similar logic, using a partnership model to expand its presence in key regions like Vietnam and West Asia.

Commodity Risks and Market Context

Despite the positive financial results, the company faces potential headwinds from commodity price volatility. Management has noted that while price hikes have been implemented in hair oils and food products to manage costs, the future impact of crude oil and edible oil prices remains a critical monitorable. Elevated input costs can pressure profit margins if the company cannot pass these expenses on to the consumer without hurting demand.

Investors are also watching the health of rural consumption. While recent trends have been steady, the company’s outlook assumes no major inflationary shocks. Any severe change in weather patterns, such as a poor monsoon, could impact rural demand in the second half of the year. For now, the company remains focused on operational efficiency through its distribution and technology upgrades like Project Setu.

Shares of Marico closed at ₹852.00 on August 5, 2026. Going forward, the most important updates for investors will be the sustainability of the double-digit volume growth, the ability to maintain profit margins amid fluctuating raw material prices, and the progress of its new acquisitions in international markets.
