Imagicaaworld Entertainment Ltd is temporarily suspending operations at its water park in Khopoli, Maharashtra. The closure, effective June 19, 2026, stems from a directive by the Maharashtra Irrigation Department. Officials cited critically low water levels in regional dams, a situation worsened by the prevailing El Niño effect, necessitating water conservation measures.
The affected facility, Imagicaa Water Park, is situated in Sangdewadi on the Khopoli-Pali Road. The Irrigation Department's communication specifically instructs the company to cease water utilization from nearby dams. The duration of this suspension is indefinite, contingent on improvements in the water situation.
Management stated that operations will remain halted until water availability stabilizes. Imagicaaworld Entertainment confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates regarding the park's reopening. The company is currently evaluating the financial implications of this unexpected disruption. However, they noted that the impact might be "non-material" if operations resume promptly.
Furthermore, Imagicaaworld Entertainment plans to explore potential claims under its Loss of Profit insurance cover. The insurer's allowance of such claims under these circumstances remains uncertain at this preliminary stage. Meanwhile, shares of Imagicaaworld Entertainment Ltd concluded trading at ₹45.60 on the BSE, marking a gain of ₹2.11 or 4.85%.
