Major alcohol industry players, including Heineken, Diageo, and Pernod Ricard, represented by their industry associations, have formally requested the Telangana government to clear $337 million (29.85 billion rupees) in overdue payments. The pending dues, which date back to May 2024, pose a significant risk of supply shortages and threaten business continuity, especially ahead of the crucial festive season when demand typically surges.
