Retailers in India experienced an 11% sales growth during the 87-day festive period (August 1-October 26, 2025), according to the Retailers Association of India (RAI). This uplift in consumption is attributed to festive buying and GST rate cuts. Quick service restaurants led with 15% growth, followed by furniture (13%), and food/grocery, jewellery, and footwear (12% each). Western India showed the highest regional growth at 13%.
