Cupid Limited shares hit a record ₹344.90 as the company upgraded its FY27 revenue guidance to over ₹800 crore. The firm now expects net profits to exceed ₹250 crore, driven by strong growth in its consumer and healthcare divisions. Investors are now balancing this aggressive expansion, including the new Palava facility, against high valuation concerns.
Cupid Limited saw its share price reach an all-time high of ₹344.90 on Wednesday, following an optimistic update on its financial targets for the fiscal year ending 2027. The company raised its revenue guidance to over ₹800 crore, up from its earlier range of ₹725 crore to ₹750 crore. Management also increased the net profit target to exceed ₹250 crore, compared to the previous forecast of ₹210 crore to ₹225 crore.
This upward revision comes on the back of expected strength in the second quarter, with revenue projections for that period alone estimated to cross ₹200 crore. The momentum is largely attributed to the company's aggressive expansion strategy. Key projects driving this optimism include the operationalization of the new Palava facility and a fresh manufacturing venture in South Africa. These investments are intended to scale production for its healthcare, diagnostics, and consumer personal care segments.
Market interest has also been influenced by the stock's inclusion in the Nifty Smallcap 250 index, which took effect on September 30, 2026. This move has naturally increased liquidity and attracted attention from institutional investors, contributing to the high trading volumes seen on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, investors are carefully weighing these growth projections against the company's current stock valuation. With the market capitalization reaching significant levels, the stock is trading at a high earnings multiple, estimated at around 185 times earnings based on the updated profit targets. This valuation suggests that the market has high expectations for future performance.
The primary risk for investors remains execution. Since the company’s future earnings are tied to the successful scaling of the Palava facility and the new venture in South Africa, any delay or cost increase could affect these aggressive targets. Additionally, while index inclusion provides a boost to visibility, it does not guarantee future stock performance. Investors will likely track the company's actual quarterly financial reports and management commentary on the progress of its manufacturing units to see if the operational results can justify the current market price.
