Astrotalk Store Surges Past ₹140 Crore Revenue in First Year, Eyes ₹500 Cr
Overview

Astrotalk's spiritual e-commerce platform, Astrotalk Store, has achieved a remarkable ₹140 crore in revenue within its first year of operation. Launched in November 2024, the platform is now annualizing over ₹200 crore, driven by strong demand for organized spiritual products. Following an initial ₹30 lakh incubation, Astrotalk invested ₹40 crore to scale operations, targeting ₹400-500 crore ARR by FY27.

Astrotalk Store Hits ₹140 Crore Revenue Milestone

Astrotalk's foray into spiritual commerce has yielded rapid success, with its Astrotalk Store generating over ₹140 crore in revenue during 2025. This achievement positions the e-commerce vertical at an annualized run rate exceeding ₹200 crore, far surpassing initial expectations for the platform launched just last November.

Strategic Infusion Fuels Growth

Initially incubated with a modest ₹30 lakh capital allocation to test market viability, the Astrotalk Store quickly demonstrated strong potential. High demand, consistent repeat purchases, and healthy average order values prompted Astrotalk to inject a significant ₹40 crore. This capital has been instrumental in expanding inventory, fortifying supply chains, enhancing technology infrastructure, boosting marketing efforts, and diversifying its product range.

Market Disruption and Product Fit

The platform processed more than 1.6 million orders in 2025, signaling robust product-market fit. Astrotalk Store offers over 300 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) including rudrakshas, gemstones, and ritual essentials, aiming to organize India's historically fragmented spiritual products market. "Consumers were either buying from local vendors with no standardisation or from small online sellers where authenticity was questionable. We saw a clear opportunity to organise this market by combining astrologer-led guidance, genuine sourcing, and a trusted brand," said Puneet Gupta, founder and CEO of Astrotalk.

Future Outlook

With a repeat purchase rate of approximately 24% and strong adoption anticipated from Tier II and Tier III cities, Astrotalk Store is poised for continued expansion. The company plans to add over 500 new products by FY27, focusing on daily-use items to foster habitual consumption. The long-term vision targets ₹400-500 crore in annual recurring revenue from this vertical by FY27, emphasizing sustainable scale over short-term gains.
