Indian Mining Industry Seeks Duty Changes and Freight Concessions in Budget Proposals

The Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) has submitted budget proposals urging the government to withdraw the 15% export duty on low-grade bauxite, aiming to revive exports. They also requested doubling the import duty on finished aluminium products to 15% and restricting imports from countries with surplus capacities like China and Russia.
