Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL) announced strong provisional production figures for fiscal year 2025-26. Metal in concentrate output increased by 9% to 27,421 tonnes, and ore production rose 6% to 3.67 million tonnes. This performance follows a robust December quarter, where net profit more than doubled to ₹156 crore on ₹687.3 crore revenue. The company's management forecasts about 20% volume growth in FY26 and expects profit margins to stay above 40%.

Strong December Quarter Results

Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL) posted strong results for the December quarter. Net profit jumped to ₹156 crore, more than double the ₹63 crore earned in the same period last year. Revenue climbed to ₹687.3 crore from ₹327.8 crore year-over-year. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) also more than doubled, reaching ₹244.4 crore. Profit margins improved to 35.6%, up from 32.9% in the previous year.

FY26 Growth Targets and Cost Strength

For fiscal year 2026, HCL management projects about 20% volume growth. The company expects profit margins to remain above 40%. HCL noted its competitive production cost of approximately $5,500 per tonne. This cost advantage, combined with current firm copper prices, supports the company's outlook for financial strength.
