BASF Establishes Key Global Hub in Hyderabad
German chemical firm BASF is establishing a major new global service and digital hub in Hyderabad, with operations set to begin in the second quarter of 2026. This strategic move highlights India's growing importance as a center for key global business operations.
Hub's Role in Streamlining Operations
This new center, managed by BASF Global Business Services Private Ltd, will function as an integrated hub supporting worldwide operations. Its core mission is to streamline global processes and boost efficiency. This initiative is designed to accelerate BASF's digital transformation efforts across its international business units.
Hyderabad's Growing Appeal for Global Centers
Hyderabad is rapidly emerging as a leading hub for global capability centers (GCCs). Telangana's IT Minister D Sridhar Babu noted that over 75 GCCs have been established in the city within the last year alone. The state government aims to attract over 100 new GCCs and generate more than 100,000 jobs this year, reinforcing Hyderabad's position as a key global talent destination.
Enhancing Global Efficiency Through Technology
The Hyderabad hub will be a key part of BASF's global operations network, using technology to help coordinate activities across different international regions. This strategic step is expected to improve how BASF handles complex global demands and uses digital tools to gain a competitive edge.
